One can track an iPhone, not by the IMEI but via a program running on the telephone, if you have set it up in advance. Your first concern should be stopping someone from using your telephone and SIM card without your permission. You can lose more than the value of the telephone through unauthorized usage from international telephone calls or overages which are billed after the fact. You should immediately notify your carrier of your loss so that they can deactivate your SIM card. At the same time they can blacklist the telephone so that it cannot be used on any carrier in the United States. My reply to the user from India should have alerted you as to what to do to protect yourself from unauthorized charges.

To whom are you writing? You should direct your correspondence to your carrier. First of all, you should have them deactivate your SIM card to prevent anyone from accruing charges such as international or national long distance calls, which are billed after the fact. Since Indian carriers do not participate in the IMEI Blacklist program, there is little chance to stopping someone from using the phone itself. You should not enter your telephone number in a public forum.

Someone has your logon information for the Online Account Management (OLAM) website. Even with that information, they can only see telephone numbers and not the content of phone calls or messages. You can call Customer Service with your wireless phone and request that they send you a new temporary passcode for OLAM via text message to your phone. Armed with that temporary code, you can sign on to OLAM and change to a password of your choice. Just in case your information is compromised, do not use a password that family members or friends can guess.

By the way, no one other than the carrier can track your activity by IMEI.
