I had a terrible experience with Virgin Mobile. It took me 5 days to transfer my existing number. Each day I called their live-advisers who were not equipped to do the transfer the phone number. They hung up one more than once. NEVER EVER opt for Virgin Mobile. They have the worst customer service.

is anyone aware of the wow mobile service? not a pay as you go per minute service. you can become a customer, refer 3 customers and you get free mobile phone service. Carrier partner is T-Mo, at&t and sprint are in contract to provide service...ink is still went on the paper for at& t & sprint. Wow mobile is not intl. yet, but the potential to go global is real.

I've been using T-Mobile To-Go for several months and have no complaints at all. No dropped calls yet in my service area (knock on wood!) and the Nokia 3595 phone they sent me was inexpensive but performs better than some of the pricier phones I've owned in the past. The rates are good if you buy a lot of minutes at a time, plus you only pay for the airtime you use -- some of the companies charge a daily access fee (usually $1) in addition to the airtime.

There is a plan comparison chart at: http://www.goprepaid.net

There is a lot of competition between prepaid cell phone providers these days -- keep an eye out for special promotions like phone rebates and free bonus minutes. If nobody is running a promotional deal this week, try waiting a week or two and you might luck out!
