They do offer a 14 day trial period so if I decide to take a serious look at them you can bet I'll be driving up and down 55 during burning up the minutes & looking for the holes!

    Thanks for the reply

    Ralph,

visit www.t-mobile.com and use the Personal Coverage Check tool. It will show you the coverage all along the way. It may take some time to see coverage all along I-55, but at least your question will be answered.

There is a guy I used to work with who actually moved to St. Louis. He has T-Mobile and his service works in St. Louis, however we never talked about any dead spots on the way (not to say that they don't exist).

My Nextel contract is up in January '06 so I'm shopping.

Anyone know about T-Mobile's coverage in Central IL? I travel between Chicago & St. Louis (I-55) and hit a LOT of dead spots with Verizon a few years ago (2001-2002). I'm a little hesitant about T-Mobile just because they're a newer player. My sister had T-Mobile in Maryland but had to drop them due to poor coverage. Nextel's coverage in Central IL is pretty decent, but I'm looking to add data which makes the Nextel plans pretty expensive.

Also, I'm looking at T-Mobile's BlackBerry 7105t - any words of wisdom? One thing I'm concerned about is the ability to sync with my ACT! contact manager.

    Thanks for any feedback!
