A new service provider is offering unlimited everything service including data with no cap. For this service there is NO: Contract, Credit Check, Taxes, Hidden Fees. They also allow wireless ththering via the "Wireless Tether For Root Users" app. This is the only provider in the nation that does this. They also have a really cool program where if you refer 3 customers that purchase the service then your service becomes free. Since there is no contract they do not discount phones and sell the G1, G2, and Motorola Cliq for $399/ea which is pretty pricy, however, they also sell sim cards that can be used with any GSM phone. Obviously, the ability to use the wireless tethering will depend on the capabilities of your equipment and I understand that the iPhone will do the tethering, along with the 3 phones they provide. I believe the Google Nexus 1 also will work. I bought a used G1 from Craigslist and a sim card and everything is working great for me. The cost for monthly service is $89.95 but, like I said, if you refer 3, yours service is free. Its not 3 per month, just as long as you have 3 refered customers total, then your service is free.
