Well, I found dBm in wikipedia, but I haven't found a definition for ASU yet. It gives me too many results for a number of universities that use the acronym. I'll keep looking later when I have time, but here is dBm defined:

I have a sidekick and it shows signal strength in ASU and dBm. Does anyone know what that is and can give a laymans explination? Your help is appreciated.
