Ebay buying question

I'm thinking of gettin a i930 off of ebay and i was wondering how many people have done this and how safe it is to do..... i'm kinda skeptical of spending $500 when i'm not certin I'm gonna get what I'm payin for. thanks for the info in advance

Why would you want to pay that much for a phone?

Okay, if you want to buy one, then check the credibility of the seller through their feedback rating. Ask the seller questions if you're unsure, and try to obtain extra pics if the ones provided aren't adequate.

but you didn't answer my question. Why not just get one through Nextel?

sorry i didnt see that.... but my reason is because I work for a Nextel retail store and it'd just be funny to see my boss's reaction if I had a phone that doesnt come out for another 6 months....

Well I would have to say, in my own semi-expert opinion, that the best you're going to get of an i930 is a very well abused Alpha test version that doesn't even have all of the features. So if you think half of a phone is 500 bucks worth of cool, go ahead and buy it. I personally would go with the new i315 with Talk-around/Moto-talk, whatever the heck you want to call it.

Is seeing the look on your boss' face really worth $500? I'd just wait until they come out. I heard alot of the deals on ebay, you don't get the phone then, you get it when it comes out, but you get dibs on first production phones.
