We are considering to purchase about 30 phones. Nextel offers three phones: 305,58sr,and 530 that are durable. Does anyone have any suggestions on which of the phones are better than the other. We primarily service the New York, New Jersey Markets. Thank you

Flip phones do not work as well in weak areas. The flips also are not as durable. Especially the i530. The little bit of rubber on it give a false sense of security. A nice rawhide case would provide more protection than that little bit of rubber. Take a look at the hinge on the flip same as the i730. I repair Nextel's and see this phone in all the time. People are sold on the word durable. The rubber is only cosmetic. It will stop it from being scratched. Moving parts + abuse = $ The i58 is an older model but it is the only full featured model that you mentioned. If you ever plan to do anything in the future with data or gps then the i58 is man. It supports java aps . With out java aps a lot of the Nextel addon 3rd party stuff will not work. Like the credit card machine, telenav, mycast, airhours, and navtrak. It also has a little better battery life, a larger screen, bigger buttons. The only disadvantages in the i58 is the charger port and lack or being sealed. The charger port is for ever getting dirty and acting up. It is not sealed like the i305. The i305 is rain and dust resistant. The i305 and 530 support 250 numbers in meme and the i58 holds 250. Oh and how could I forget... it doesn't play musical ringtones but it is the only model that you mentioned that you can load games in. If you can hold out the there are 2 new models that should start to roll out next month. Here is the info:
i315

Which nextel phone? 305,58sr,530
I Sell a lot of Nextel in Florida. The I 58 is a great phone. You do not need 600 spaces for names. 250 will do the job for you. Very little problems with i58. Also is slimmer. How about letting me have your business? I am 62 years old and have sold Nextel as a outside rep for 6 years. My last account was Atlantic Concrete Products who have branches in Md, Pa, and Fl.
Thank You-Stuart Kushner

Im also gonna have to go with the i58sr as well. Its just the better of the three. If your a business, you'll definitely need the java enabled phone. There are many attachable devices that have proven themselves very usefull in that phone.

Which is the toughest !
In my opinion as i deal with trouble shooting the phone on a daily basis with call in from different customers , i would say the 305
I was built for :
Rain-Resistant
• Certified to Military Standard 810 F for blowing rain, humidity, and salt fog. Designed to withstand exposure to rain, sleet, and snow. Rubber encasing, interior linings and seals protect the phone’s antenna, speakerphone, keys, battery door, and accessory connections against water intrusion.
Rugged Construction
• Certified to Military Standard 810 F for dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, low pressure, and solar radiation. Performs in extreme outdoor environments and stands up to dusty environments, drops, exposure to vibration from heavy machinery use, and hot/cold climates
Check out the www.nextel.com and do your own comparison
Good luck !
