getting run time error 70
i have windows xp pro with all the latest updates and as far as i know i don't have any other type of iden update on my system. i have tried a few different ways to get webjal to work but the only thing after trying that was i went to the myjal. For the most part it works. Still would like to know why i get that error message

i followed the steps and i get a webpage talking about shopping, downloading, dealer tools and something else. the patcher program gives that runtime error 70 and say permission denied. it says the same thing when i try clicking on remove also so. before i edited the hosts file it had that ip address and the iden update site already listed. Should there be anything else in there. This thing has me baffled.
thanks again for the help that site is very helpful

if you put the info in the host file. Make sure the host file is just host. not host.sam
also reboot the machine
then try the idenupdate.motorola.com
if you get forbidden then your set

the only other thing I could say is to try www.nextelmodz.com and try the webjal server thread by vinnycuz. It makes you the server for your self so you do not need the webbased server. Or you could do the <caugh> <caugh> myjal.....
