Anyone know how I can find someone to repair a modded i730?
The volume buttons don't work and now I plug in the charger and it isn't making a connection.
I've been told authorized Nextel places won't touch it.
Who will?

I'm not sure. The lights near the numbers light up bluish purple. Is that normal?

yeah.. but i have learned that the lighted key pads mess up the phones big time if there not the original factory installed ones.

If your interested in selling the phone i will buy it or if u want i'll trade you my mint i90 c in perfect working condition for it and you could just switch sims...or as another option you could mail me the phone and i'll take a look at it for you and let you know whats up and i'll fix it for you for a fee depending on the problem

I just bought the phone a few weeks ago and paid $160 plus shipping so I doubt you'll want to pay that much for it, huh?
I would consider seeing about having you fix it. Can you give me some kind of ballpark figure on what these problems usually run?
I know you need to see it, but I don't want to waste my time and yours sending it to you only to find out it's too expensive to be worth fixing it.
I don't really want to get rid of it since I do like it. It has the white housing and I've downloaded a ton of stuff on it.

did you download everything on the phone yourself or you took it somewhere to be done?

It came with a few wallpapers already downloaded. Then I bought a cd on ebay and a usb cord and downloaded some ringtones and games.
Could this have anything to do with the volume buttons not working?
By the way, I got the charger connection going again. I had to remove that rubber protective thingy cuz it was making the connection almost impossible.

well I think the cd off ebay is pretty legit so most likely it has nothing to do with the volume buttons. It could be the housing is installed improperly or your not making a clear connection. If you want u could send the phone to me and I could most likely fix it for under $20 since you got the charger port working again.

I think you're right about the housing. I've had several people tell me that it's a huge risk you run with modding these phones in messing up the buttons.
I'm definitely interested in having you look at it, though.
If I send it to you, can I keep the sim card with me so I will have my i90C to use?
BTW, if you buy or trade for used phones, I have an i90c Swiss Army Edition that needs a new flip.
Send m a private message with details of how to go about this. If you're on nextel, I'll give you my DC number and see about getting this fixed.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, I plan on shipping it, I've just been real busy.
I will probably ship it out from here on Monday. I'll let you know for sure when I do so you'll know to expect it.
Thanks
