If you shop for phones/accessories... on ebay, please be careful about what you buy. There are literally thousands of modified phones for sale on ebay. I purchased a modified i730 from "mgberns" on ebay. He stated in the auction that the phone was not used, it had been a display model. It had been modified to a clear housing. When I received the phone, the volume buttons already didn't work and within 3 weeks, the PTT button stopped working. The seller basically said "too bad" and then accused me of "abusing" the phone in his feedback.
Guys, remember, it doesn't matter what kind of warranty the sellers tell you they'll give you. After you have paid, many of them say "tough luck".
Be very careful on ebay and stay away from "mgberns".

Agreed its very common had a simular problem with an MMC card for my N-gage 0 was supposed to be 256 but actual usable memory was about 105mb!
Also be very careful buying pirate game from ebay. I bough some to test what people were selling and half of them did not work and were copied in asia!
good luck

Well first of all for TwistedMom if you ever need anything like accessories or housings or lights for your cell phone please let me know, I have a shop in NYC and we charge 50% less than anywhere and we are 100% legit, verified by PayPal.
Second for Ben down if you need anything pirated like pc games/software, dvd movies, ps2 games, etc, also let me know I run a small underground pirating company and we do quality backups plus to show you we are legit we actually give you your first backup free of charge, 100%.
I hope you guys don't think I'm advertising but I just like to help out where I can, thanks. If this a problem just let me know and I won't ever mention my businesses again in this forum, thanks and I hope I was useful.

I have decided I will never ever again pay a nickel for a modified Nextel phone.
The first one I bought, story above. I posted on this board about it and a poster here offered to fix it. He gets it and informs me it's bad wrong, they used plastic button (ptt and volume) instead of rubber... So he offers me a different modified i730. I trade him my i730 and pay him some $$ and he sends me a phone that is also screwed. Flip won't shut all the way without being pushed down, then it comes back up, no service when i install sim card, screen on flip doesn't work, no antenna...
I'm just sick and tired of paying for junk that gets screwed up when it's modified.

Yeah too many people modify and dont do it properly, if you want a modified phone, buy a new one and do it yourself.
