I have an i90c Nextel phone on Nextel service.
I want to use Nextel in Europe.
Can I buy a used, unlocked T720 and put my sim chip from the i90c into the T720 and use it in Europe on the Nextel GSM network?
I know that I must set up my account for international service. I have done this in the past with the I2000plus but I would like to get a used T720 (tmobile or cingular phone) and use the i90c sim chip.

i dont think you can put the sim cards of 2 digit phones (i90, i95, etc.) into 3 digit phones (i730, i830, i860, etc.)

Yes, you can insert 32k sim cards into 64k sim phones. You'll only have 250 contacts though.

Unlocked t720/t730's cannot be used on Nextel overseas. The phone has to be GSM 900 compatible.

And, you can buy a v505 from Nextel that is guarenteed to work overseas. That is your best bet.
