Question on nextels

Can a main plan owner of someone else on his plan have a way to see or hear all the conversations you have on the phone.. Same thing with text messaging can they see every text message you send and receive cuz this person is really freaked thinkin her uncle can see everything she says and txts

Have a way to see all the conversations you have on the phone:

All NEXTEL models have a "Recent Calls" list that generates from your last 20 or so contacts. It can be viewed in the menu or by pressing the down arrow. You can also erase this list as it generates, but most people leave them for easy access without having to go back to their phonebooks.

Speaking of which... there is either a 250 or 600 contact number phonebook, depending on your model NEXTEL.

Text messaging saves last 10 messages you typed in the Sent Messages list. You can also erase this list as it generates, but most people leave them for easy access so they can reference what they sent earlier.

You can pre-program commonly used replies in the phone for text as well.

Have a way to hear all the conversations you have on the phone:

All NEXTEL radios are digital and digitally encrypted. No scanner can pick them up, at least intelligibly. They are trunked over several different frequencies in the 800MHz spectrum. It would be very hard to track the trunking, the frequencies, and decrypt the signal. He would essentially have to work for NEXTEL or Motorola to obtain such gear.

Really freaked thinkin her uncle can see everything she says and txts:

Highly doubtful unless she's careless about leaving the thing on all the time and laying it around... talking with him in an earshot... he's bugged the house... etc. DON'T BE STUPID IN YOUR PHONE USAGE.

SIMPLE SOLUTION:

ACTIVATE THE SIM LOCK IN THE SECURITY SETTINGS OF THE PHONE. SHUT THE PHONE OFF. HE'LL NEED THE SIM PIN IN ORDER TO HAVE ACCESS TO ANYTHING IN THE PHONE. DON'T LEAVE THE PHONE UNATTENDED WITHOUT SHUTTING IT OFF FIRST! DON'T FORGET THE PIN AS YOU WON'T GET THE PHONE TO FUNCTION (UNLESS YOU CRACK THE PIN... NOT A SIMPLE TASK).

NEXTEL DOWNFALL:

ALL NEW NEXTEL PHONES HAVE ASSISTED-GPS. HE CAN ASK NEXTEL TO ACTIVATE THE GPS TRACKING AND SPY WHERE YOU ARE ON A MAP USING SIMPLE SOFTWARE AND A DATA PLAN. EVEN IF YOU'RE OUTSIDE OF THE VIEW OF SATELLITES, THE SIGNAL CAN BE TRIANGULATED FROM THE CELL TOWERS.

you can also go online and view all of the calls placed from and recieved to a nextel handset for a given billing cycle. something else to keep in mind. it is jus the phone numbers no conversations.
