    Yes you can.

Menu, Settings, Display/Info, Contrast, and change the # in the
    "Ext. Display" section. Presto.

I just purchased an I860 from ebay, brand new. My external display if goofy. The colors are not bright, like green doesn't even show up on the battery or signal bar. And the scrolling list of names is really f'ed up, it's hard to read them. I compared the screen to my friends and his is different. His is normal, and it's how it SHOULD be.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Oh yeah, I tried the contrast too. Didnt help. I also forgot to mention that my screen is "yellowish", not white. It's a dull brightness... weird??? This is all external display, internal is excellent. It certianly doesn't effect using my phone in any way, however, is there a nextel warrenty on it?

you can take ur phone to a nextel service center and have it swapped for $35 or you can call moto yourself, save the $35 and just pay for shipping....this is provided your phone isn't stolen.
