Sometime back I used to be the proud owner of the Nextel Blackberry 7510. However, since it didn't work in letting me send/receive emails, and gave me headaches, I decided to return it and went back to the old fashioned cellular phone. Now, I see that Nextel has come out with their "new and improved" Blackberry 7520 with a lot more gizmos on it. My question to the group is: Does anyone have the Nextel Blackberry 7520 (with full web/email package and phone service)? How is it overall? Does it give you headaches when you have to use it as a phone? Do you HAVE to have the blackberry data plan? If so, is there anything cheaper than the $35/monthly for 3MB? Are you able to send and receive emails? What do you think are the pros and cons? I want to be 150% sure if I am to purchase this unit...that's why I'm doing the research first. Thanks.

    blackberry 7520

heres what i did. i have a i530 with web service for 14.99, i took the sim card
and installed it in my 7510 . i bought the web and email viewer from handango . the browser is great. i have a hotmail plus email account for 20.00 bucks a year . everything works great and saving myself 20.00 bucks a month at the same time. when i don't want to use the blackberry i just take the sim card and put it in one of my other phones. oh, one more thing i upgraded the software on the blackberry from 3.6 to 4.0 which is what the 7520 has.

thats right, i bought the webviewer and emailviewer from reqwireless. i think for 49.00, you can download a trial version of both, to try it free for 5 or 10 days.

I wish there was an option to get a 7100 series nextel. Something that is smaller then normal blackberry, but has more then a 10 digit keypad.

Don't have it, but if I were you, I would do a search on the board and see if there is a post opened for it. I am sure one was opened when the phone came out.
