I suppose it depends on the state of your financial situation... (ie. if you can afford not to get it it's a waste typically... (there are better things you can do with your money) but if you're concerned about taking a risk and losing and the cost of a phone would just set you back too much then $2.99 doesn't seem so much.)
Seems to me that if you cut it off at two months... you've gotten a pretty good discount on a new antenna... essentially saving $29. I'd personally cut it there... but then I have never purchased insurance for my phone... or extended my warranty... for anything I've ever purchased at Best Buy for that matter... it's kinda' the same thing to me really. But then I'm an optimist and I can afford to take the risk that my phone will probably last long enough before I replace it. Besides, in the past I've been rather fortunate and if I'd ever had a problem, my phone was just replaced ...whether it was my fault or not... (or for that matter once when it was no longer covered by warranty.) I'd rather believe it was all due to may charming personality and witty sense of humor.
I can get a copy of the fine print and analyse it and tell you precisely what is covered though... (not what they might say is covered... the fine print, as required by law, never lies. ...and you can't always count on insurance to pay up either... it's not fair but... that's sadly how things are.)
