    Quick story
4 months ago, I put a new housing on my phone and broke the ribboncable. I got another ribbon cable, put phone backtogether and all was good.

Never been dropped, never gotten wet, pretty much sits on my desk all day and all night. Well, I flipped it open the other day, and the LCD lights up but nothing happens, like, the LCD is just Blank white.... The Caller id display on the front still works so I can get to my last 20 calls with using the buttons on the top of the phone. But I can't get to my phonebook etc.... Any idea on whats wrong ?? I opened it up and took it 100% apart.... Everything looks good, ribbon cable still looks brand new, I unplugged everything and plugged it all back in. put it all back together, no change.... Thinking about buying eiter a new LCD, or a new ribbon cable.... If I buy both, I might as well buy another phone.... Any help on which it may be ? Is there something common with these phones that breaks that I dont knwo about ?? Thanks !

You should take it to a NRS store. They will fix it OR they will give you a new phone provided that you have insurance on your plan.

nope, no insurance, and no spare cash this week, I need to get this fixed, I use the phonebook all day long for work.... Any other idea ?? I brought it to an authorized nextel repair center, and all they EVER say is the phone needs to be replaced.... They said that when I broke the ribbon cable to before I got another one....
