It almost looks like it's made of plastic in the pictures, it doesn't look cheap in real life does it?

thats probably just weird pictures, alot of phones look like that in pictures.

Well this just plain pisses me off, as I have the pinnafarina phone, all $500 worth of it. Nothing like nextel to eat its young

the 836 is a very hot phone! it is released because the i830s and i830b will be discontinued this summer. the main goal was to have a better housing while still maintaining the sleek design. There were many complaints against how the metal housing always got scratched up. the 836 also has a newer version of group connect...i will look up the details if anyone is interested!

I have the i836 It's a really nice phone the back battery tray is metal. The rest of the phone is plastic. I will put a few pics up on my tomorrow.

I just recently got a i836 and i was wondering if anyone has been able to transfer ringtones from there computer to the phone with usb cable? Or can it not be done?

i know what they gotta be im just not sure how or what program or software to use is what im asking? if you know what porgram to use to transfer wallpapers, ringtones, and java apps pls let me know.

I was wondering if anybody would choose this phone over the i860. I personally like the way the i836 looks a lot more but since you can get them both free with a new contract and the i860 seems more expensive, I don't want to choose the cheap phone over a high quality one.
