860 problem

i have a problem with my i860 when i get a voicemail or a text it doesnt make any sound or vibrate when i set it to either anyone know why?

Go into the settings menu of your phone and see if the ringer for "data" is set to zero (0). If it is, bump...bump...bump it up! OK, enough of my singing and enough of your bumps.

Do you have a styles setting overiding the main settings? If this is not the case, then your software is corrupted. Go to a NEXTEL service center and have them upgrade the oftware on the unit. If you play with RSS, WebJal or MyJal make sure the settings there reflect the "7" as you mentioned on the screen.
