Sprint Nextel Merger
According to the FCC, Sprint Nextel wil be completing their merger this friday, August 12th, they will be trading their stock under the symbol (S). There are still some suits against Sprint, but none of them have caused an injuction to delay the merger any longer, expect it to be done this friday!

no, a gsm phone will not work with nextel's iDEN network
