Can someone please vouche for me! Who out there gets more than 4 hrs out of your standard battery that came with yoiu i930? I unplugged my phone @ 8a and by 10a I was getting a low battery alert. I sat on hold with SPRINT just for a guy to tell me that its only normal to get only 2-3 hours out of a battery thats doing everything this phone is doing. I think that a bunch of jeeb. I HONESTLY do not believe that this is normal. I asked him how much time will I get out of an extended life battery and he said, "test are being done now to determine so know one knows!"

I'm running my own test. I think my SD card is the issue. The day after i got my phone, my battery made it thru the day. The day I placed in my SD card, thats when I had issues. My i930's 1010 battery died a little over 3 hrs on stand by with the SD card! I just put in a fully charged but smaller batter 850 from my i275. Ill let u know the outcome.
~p~

Battery life is bad, but not as bad as Panache has. I don't use an SD card and I get about 7-9 hours of battery life.

It can't be normal. If I can get 7-9 hours with about 5 calls, 1 hour of direct connect, internet and messaging you should get a lot more than 3-4.

The bottom line is that all the i930's are defective and Nextel shouldn't have released the phone because of the disaster they knew they would have with it!!!! Im def not buying a i930...im waitin for the i870!

I went to purchase an extended life battery to help my issue until I get my hands on one of them Nextel reps about replacing my unit. I got to the store and the lady said they didnt have the EL battery doors for the i930. Would it be too easy for the comsumer to make them like a package purchase instead of indiviual?

I have two pop3 email accounts. I have set them up and can recieve all of my mail on the phone. The problem is it won't let me send out anything on either one. I get an error stating that the message cannot be sent to check my setting or service status. I have a data plan so its not that. My setting are exactly the same as I have them on my home computer through outlook. I have tried changing and playing with everything and just cannot get it to send any mail. Does anyone have any ideas or have had the same problem. My second question is has anyone figured out how to get aim on the phone yet. There is a program called agile messenger that is downloadable for instant messenger but of course I can't get it to download on the phone. Anyone have any thoughts on these issues???

One more thing. Do you know that little sound that comes over your PC speakers when you are either 1) on a cellular call or 2) sending/receiveing a text message? My i930 will sit there and make that annoying "grunt" for hours at a time. My i860 only did it when i was calling or texting and this phone does it from too dark in the morning till to dark at nights. (well not really! dayum battery only gets 2 hrs standby) Is anyone else having this happen? Rep said this is "normal also" because it needs to constantly keep in touch with the network!
Before the i930 came out, about 15 people said they had friends that worked for either nextel or moto. I would like one of you guys to contact me because I have a few ?'s about this phone and ppl in this foru seem to be more truthful thanthe rest of the SPRINT CS reps i've talked to!

> I ordered ann i930 and the one I recieved was faulty. My battery only last 2hr and thats stand by. Its been happening every since i got the unit. I sat on the phone for 42 minutes on 10-22 for a i930 specialist to tell me that 2hrs of standby battery time is normal. Other nextel subscribers that have i930 say they get up to 5 hrs on a standard battery when they use it and I'm only getting 2 hours of stand by time? How is that normal. I'm tired of getting the automated email, I want to hear from someone that is going to address and fix my issue. I want a new unit THIS WEEK in exchange for the fualty one. To whom ever reads this, please fwd this email to a supervisor and have them call me 281-XXX-XXXX. If a standard battery only gives me 2 hrs stand by then an extended life battery will only give me 4 hrs of stand by. I didnt purchase this phone for standby, I bought it to use ALL of its features. Please call me tomorrow ASAP so we can address this issue! Thanks

The Swift reply 4 hrs later!! On a Sunday?

Dear Jason Mays,

Thank you for contacting Sprint Together with Nextel Online.

I apologize for your frustration over this issue. The i930 is advertised
on our Web site as having 95 hours of standby and 165 minutes of talk
time. Obviously there is a legitimate problem.

I do not blame you at all for wanting to replace the faulty unit; however,
Customer Care can not do that for you. You will have to call Order
Support at 1-866-203-0952 for that. If you wish to speak to a supervisor
you can call Customer Care at 1-800-390-9545. I can not forward your
email to a Supervisor and have them call you as we provide Customer
Service via email response.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to contact us at: https://nextelonline.nextel.

Thank you for using Sprint Together with Nextel Online.
