what? boost phones are cheaper than nextel phones. That is why you see so many people unlocking them and selling them on Nextel! Plus they come with the starter kit to get them going! You buy something off the street and then you need to buy the starter kit for $40+ to get it going. The i215 boost if $59. Subtract the battery $39, home charger $19, and the starter kit $40 and you did better than off the street with a used battery and probably missing a charger.
Yes, you can't walk in to any service center and have you warranty work done on it but, what carrier does that anymore. Nextel charges for every repair unless you have the maintance plan. Cingular, AT&T, and T-Mobile you call an 800 number and they mail you a replacement for a fee. You can send any Boost phone that you bought from a store to Motorola for FREE warranty work. It is covered for 1 year from the date of purchase if you have the origional receipt. It takes about 2 weeks for Motorola to repair it.
