i have a question if you have a nextel phone, can you page a t mobile, cingular, verzion or sprint phone or the new razr phone using the walkie talkie service. and what is the digit of numbers i have to enter in order to page any of these customers, is it an 11 digit number like what nextel or boost gives you or is it a differentier than this?.

no you can't Nextel to Nextel (or Boost) only on walkie talkie. Soon you will be able to walkie talkie Sprint from Nextel but that is it.

mighty sc when will i be able to do that. im saying can it be nextel to t mobile nextel to cingular nextel to verZion on nextels walkie talkie service using a phone with a speaker phone from any companies beside boost mobile or nextel. it can be boost mobile to nextel, cause nextel powers boost mobile, and i believe boost mobile is a division of nextel.

No, just Boost and Nextel.. They are saying 1st quarter of next year for Nextel to Sprint. I know it is something that they have been secretly working on. The older phones wont except any walkie talkie numbers above 65000 which is the max on a fleet. (fleet is the 2nd group of numbers. So 123*456*7890 the fleet is 456 and the 7890 is the member id. The max member id is 65000.) any how before if you entered a number above 65000 it would give you an error saying invalid number. But now you can enter a whole cellular number and hit the ptt button. They fixed it in the software all ready.

    Nextel(Boost) dc Sprint

I know for a fact that boost and nextel costumers will be able to dc or ptt sprint costumers.I have the i415 from boost mobile and when i enter a 10-digit sprint number and push the dc button it says user not available at this time, try again latter.but when i enter a 10-digit number for another carriers number it says incorrect number. So very soon nextel(boost) costomers will be able to dc to sprint costumers with ptt service.

they have been working on a dispatch converter which would allow this to happen, possibly they are getting close although I have not heard anything recently.

yes I noticed the same thing also with the direct connect. Before the highest member Id number that iden supported was 64599, so any number above (like a 10 digit phone number) would say invalid.

They are also going to roll out a SPACEBAR to talk via computer and internet. The sprint goal is have all ptt streaming over web via evdo so it will fit seamlessly when they make the bridge. So companies can will not need to purchase a phone for everyone in the office and remote locations would still be able to reach it's fleet. I guess companies would be now able to outsource dispatchers to Iraq and help their economy!!! Our's is perfect the old dispatcher could just get a new job right?
