    Hey There,

    You need to get webjal which will allow you to load ringtones and wallpapers. It is a java based program and you will also need a data cable. Webjal is usually free and the cable can be found from $9 up to $30 most places.

    actually mp3 files CAN be used as ringtones on the i870

    Using dbpoweramp, or your favorite audio converting software

    MP3
    Bit Rate - 64 Kbps
    Frequency - 8000 Hz
    Mono
    Other settings work if you play around with it, yewll see.
    You need Webjal or labjal to load files to phone,
    i never done it any other way.

    If you need any of the apps i mentioned above PM me.

    And if your still looking for the ROXIO cd that came with the 870
    PM me, ill zip it up for ya and upload it to my ftp.
    let me know

    thanks for the help, but i realized that you don't even need the cd to be able to get your mp3's onto the phone. i just drug my mp3 files to my phone. took 3 minutes to do.
