my boost sim card works in his nextal i860 or 870

hi all
a while ok my boyfriend and i swapped phones to see if our sims would work inside the others phone i have a boost mobile I450 he has a nextal i 860 or 870 (the newer one now offered also with boost that costs almost $400.00 anyway he has the older sim card without the gps and of course his sim worked in the i450 (his wallpapers did'nt that where work pics of our kids)

anyway i said all that to ask this how can i get his model (it's the one with the camera and takes pictures and has the mp3 player)

i would like to buy his model and use my boost sim card(he bought his from a coworker) can i buy one from a flea market i would use ebay but i don't want to get screwed over

any suggestions

if you have boost you can buy any phone and use it, as long as its the i730 or newer...

6.)Boost SIM cards work in Nextel phones w/o unlocking the phone. If you want to use a Nextel SIM in a Boost phone, THE BOOST PHONE MUST BE UNLOCKED. (Also, We dont discuss unlocking here on CPF.)

maybe i should have made my question easier

can i buy a new or used nextal phone i855 or i870 from a flea market do they sell them like that or is it better to go through ebay ( the 855 does everything but the mp3 player the 870 or 8 something does it all)

(my other opinion is to buy a i855 boost from bestbuy and use my sim or something)

you can get a boost i875 on ebay for around $200-$300 or a i855 for $150 the same would be said for the nextel versions (i870,i850) so for the same money i would suggest getting the boost ones (they look better anyway ... lol ) some people have reported problems with text messaging using nextel sims in boost phones and vise versa alothough most of the boost phones you find on ebay will be unlocked

Yes. Boost is the prepaid service offered by Nextel (now owned by Sprint).
