#3 | | Newbie | Actualy you dont need any programs. Simply format card as per user manual connect phone to comp. and either drag and drop; or copy and paste MP3 files into MUSIC folder of phone. ie start>my computer>devices with removable storage> (your phone drive __ ).

To turn on your phone’s ability to use the USB mass storage feature: 1 From the main menu, select Settings > Memory Card > USB Connection. 2 Select Reader Enabled. | Also read this: Quote: |
The Music folder is for music files you will play using the audio player. Files in this folder cannot be accessed from the Media Center.

Maybe I am still doing something wrong I would appreciate you walk me thru the steps of playing a song using the Music Player in my i880 Motorola cell phone.

#10 | | Phone Addict | It some time is the mem card also. The only iden phones truely made to go past the 512 meg card is the i930 and the not so iden ic902. If you load a card past the 512 limit the mp3 player may (MAY = COULD) act funny. I have heard of and seen a few people with this problem. It will lock up or freeze. The music will begin skipping.. It is missing a bunch of songs. Nothing serious like it will explode or self terminate.
Mot says it does not support anything higher than 512 and that is why Motorola's iden division does not sell anything above 512 megs. If your 1 or 2 gig card works above the 512 mark then you are ahead of the game!

Does anyone else have this problem | You do not need a plan to use the media player on the i880.
Format your memory card, and put the MP3 songs in the Music folder of the card. You will need a USB card reader on the PC, or a USB data cable for PC to phone.
Open the media player and play your songs.
See my iDEN links sticky: Nextel Guides & Tutorials, and Media formats for more info.
