i580 to i930

I have a i580 and i want to switch to a i930, is it as simple as swaping sim cards?

the i580 was a great phone for the first 3 months, then everything went crazy on it, screen quit working, words on the screen are spelled wrong and the key pad randomly quits working and i have to remove the battery.

sim cards are phone specific, swapping is not recommended,
i930 is a smart phone.
