Boost phone or not

hey recently i found a i90 i wanna kno if theres anyway to find out if its a boost phone or not meanin like if its the prepaid thingy
n if not can i buy one of those sim cards for prepaid for it or will i need that new phone

Yes.Turn the phone on,wait for it load and all that crap.First if the screen says "Ready" OR "Nextel",then the phone belongs to Nextel(Non-Prepaid).If that dont work and I dont see how it wont,In the MAIN SCREEN,Press and DONT hold in this order,"#* then "*" then *MENU* and finally ">".Now a Trace Mode box should appear*****oll down to where it says "Bandmap",hit view.If it says Bandmap

also if a nextel sim is put into the phone and it says "enter special" code then it would be a boost...also the panel on a boost are black instead of blue...unless someone put a boost in a nextel original housing which would just plain be stupid!
