Turning Bluetooth On or Off

To turn on or turn off Bluetooth, simply follow the steps:

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Then scroll down and touch Settings -> touch Bluetooth -> touch the Status switch to turn Bluetooth On or Off

Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Then scroll down and touch Settings -> tap Bluetooth. -> touch the Status switch to turn Bluetooth On
  3. Make sure the other device has the Bluetooth turned On as well and that is set in discoverable mode.
  4. Your device will automatically look for other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Select the handset you wish to pair with.
  5. You may be prompted to enter a PIN. So compare the PIN numbers on the respective devices and if they match, tap OK.
  6. In case you need to re-enter the PIN, do so and then tap OK.
  7. On the other device, accept the pairing.

Turning Emergency Alerts On or Off

  1. From the Start screen, tap the Messaging tile.
  2. Then touch the More icon -> tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and touch emergency alerts.
  4. Touch the AMBER Alerts switch to turn on or off.
  5. Then touch the Emergency alerts field and select either Presidential only, Presidential and Extreme alerts or All alerts.

Turning GPS On or Off

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Then scroll down to and tap Settings -> touch location -> tap the Location services switch to turn GPS On or Off.

Turning NFC On or Off

  1. From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
  2. Then scroll down to and tap Settings -> tap tap + send.
  3. Touch the NFC sharing switch to turn On or turn Off.

Reading NFC Tags

Your Nokia Lumia 925 is NFC-enabled, so to read an NFC tag information from another NFC device or a printed tag, follow the steps:

  1. Place the back of your device against the NFC antenna location on the other handset or against a printed tag.
  2. Then, when your smartphone has successfully read the tag, it will play a notification sound and the information, website, video, photo, etc., will appear on the screen.
