I have been reading up as best I can about new cell phone options and I am particularily interested in an option put out by Nokia, Motorola, and soon by RIM, where the cell phone will automatically measure the volume of the ambient or environmental sound around the phone and automatically raise or lower the volume depending on the silence around or loudness.
What I am even more interested in, is if the owner of the phone can set the levels of what the phone automatically adjusts to... If you have sensitive hearing, or are extra hard-of-hearing, can you set the Auto-volume-Control from the levels the company pre-set them at?
Does anyone know about this? I would be very appreciative to hear different views. I am not sure where to post this to reach a knowledgeable person...

I am confused on where postings go, so I will try again to reach some people...
