I bought a new Nokia today, replacing an older cell phone I have. I got the sales guy to transfer the old number to this new cell phone, and he said it would take about an hour to take effect.
It's been way over an hour and the phone still isn't receiving calls, and can't send any out. The phone number still seems to be dialling to the old cell phone. The only thing I can do is switch it on. It will call out, but will always reach my phone company's "Call Center". I'm wondering if I have to get the old phone and have it de-activated in order for this new one to work, or if activating the new cellphone has automatically de-activated the old one and I just have to be patient for it to take effect
Cheers.
