6820 Ring Tone Question?

I've got a data cable installed and have the pone succesfully setup. I assumed the Nokia PC Suite Sound Converter would convert mp3's to the format the phone needs. Unfortunately, the program wants midi files to start with.

Can anyone recommend a simple and free program to convert some of my mp3's to midi's and there for make them usable for the Sound Converter?

Sound Converter is only for making sp-midi's from regular midi files!
And to answer your age old question, mp3's cant be converted to midis, theres a few programs claiming to do it, but they dont do a very good job, unless its a monophonic file to start with!

Ok, is there a program that will rip a regular CD (i.e. wav) to a midi?

Sadly, Nope!

MP3 and wav are basically the same thing, its just in mp3's all da junk is cut out, and only the stuff ya need to hear is there(hence them being so small).

So wav cant be converted either!

But head over to the Ringtone Section and make a request for the tone you're trying to get!
If its available, someone will have it there!
