#3 | | Phone Addict | It is amazing what rebooting a phone can do. Try taking the battery out for a minute or so. Then put it back in and turn it on. If that doesn't fix it, then yes, call the SP. Also, if it's the phone it might be under a manufacturer's warrenty.

#5 | | Newbie | I got an reply from Nokia as follow: "
With regard to your enquiry, we would like to inform you that "Contact Service" simply means that an error has occurred with one of the applications in the phone. This is similar to how we sometimes get a message on our PC saying ''error has occurred, please reboot''. Unfortunately, the ''reboot'' option is not available on a mobile phone. Therefore, it would be best that you take your phone into an authorised service center (ASC) and the technicians there will definitely be able to assist you. Please take your proof of purchase or your warranty card with you when you go to the ASC."
Anyone know how do I reboot the phone from home? coz my phone has no warrenty left.

#7 | | Sr. Member | Cingular suggests this, not sure if will work if you have another provider, but can't hurt, I imagine: try this: #002#,send, wait moment for message if any and note, power phone off, power back on, give phone a moment to reset.

If rebooting doesn't work, you must bring it to the Service Centre.
It can be due to software corruption as well as Memory chip failure.
