He was trying that but the phone still wasnt seeing the card. So i told him to try and format it with his phone.

If it does any help, I believe the problem has something to do with the Mini SD card and its activation key list (although it has none).

Activation Key not allowed error. Seen when trying to se a audio file as a ring tone. Has somthing to do with digital rights management. Telus wants you to download and buy the tone from them. I think its horrible thing for telus to do. Are the other cariers like this? The ones in the states? And how do we get around this?

I am having the same problem. I was looking for the Activation code so i can somehow use my own MP3s. There must be a genious out there who can figure this out. But i need step by step instructions...formatting the MMC card on the net does not help. I need to know exactly what that means.

i know please im dying from the same problem ... i hvae the same phone also from telus .. my bro sends me ringtones from his phone via bluetooth .. but it wont let me set them as my ringtone because of the activation key crap ... will unlocking my phone let me by this ?

I'm having the same problem as the previous poster.
A friend sent me 2 ringtones and 2 full songs through bluetooth.
I can listen to the songs, But I can't use them as my ringtone.
Anyone have an idea as to how to get past the Activation Key thing?

So apparently with software called Diego, From a site that has been taken offline. Available in Torrent form. And the USB cable needed. Then you can hack the setting disallowing the mp3 from being a ring tone. Damn digital rights management built in. Ive got the saftware. And am waiting on the cable i ordered from a ebay vendor for dirt cheap.
