6133 loses signal, won't connect until restarted


This seems to be a firmware/software problem, it is 100% repeatable.

If I go off-network for awhile (I work in a building with poor reception) the phone will never pick a signal back up. At least not until I shut the phone off and restart it. Doesn't matter if I enter an area with full signal strength or weak, it will NOT reconnect to the network.

If the 6133 is anything like my last phone (which would indicate on the screen it was in powersave due to no signal for an extended period) with no signal for x-minutes, it would powersave, and only search for a signal periodoically. This one acts like it powers down, but doesn't actively search for a signal. I'd expect maybe 2-5 minutes before it finds the signal again, but it doesn't seem to.

Very frustrating to power your phone down, turn it back on, and get voice mails from 30 minutes ago, when the phone was on and you were in an area of service.

I checked Nokia's site, they say there is no firmware update for my phone. Also smart, there are two characters in the phone ID code (side by side) that are either a zero and an "O" or an "O" and a zero. Entering either way, or only letters or numbers, the website states that there is no update for my phone. It's obvious the two characters are different, but come on Nokia, you don't do that in a code.
