#3 | | Daderator | I would do as suggested. Get her a pre-paid plan. Then after she use's up her minutes that you purchase her, if she wants any more, have her purchase her own minutes.

#5 | | Daderator | I have a 16 year old daughter...and when we first got her a phone (when she started going to high school).....the first six months or so we had a real battle on our hands....it became so bad that we took the phone away for the entire summer. She sometimes still goes over....but now with a job and all....she does...she pays the overage's.
Having to pay with her own money has made a big difference.

#6 | | Sr. Member | just buy her a pre-paid SIM card and give her no more then 15$/month for calls and SMS. I think this would work the best. If she doesn't have money, she wouldn't call everywhere | | Did you find this post helpful?

#8 | | Newbie | Thanks for this. It is a great idea. Prepaid SIM cards are used for local as well as long distance calls?
I live in Israel so I have to check which companies sell SIM cards that will work on Israeli area codes. If you have any ideas on this please forward.
Thanks | | Did you find this post helpful?
