Nokia 6085 Answer when fold opened delay

I have a nokia 6085 and I have enabled the option, "answer when fold opened". However when my phone rings and I open it there is a couple seconds of delay after the phone is opened before it actually answers the call. does anyone know how to remove this delay or is it standard and cannot be changed thank you

I've got this issue too - it started when I installed the 5.03 update . Whenever I flip my phone open to answer a call, there's a 2-3 second delay where it keeps ringing before it picks up. Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this, so that the call is answered immediately when the phone is flipped open? I've already tried re-installing the update, which didn't help anything.

thanks for that but it didn't tell me anything. I have heard from my service provider that this is a normal thing to happen with this model of phone

Searching the manual for "delay", "answer", and "fold" fails to produce any information on this delay (indeed, the "answer when fold is opened" description gives the impression it should be immediate)

I'm also doubtful that this is supposed to happen, since I previously owned the same model phone (N6085) and never experienced it. Only with my new phone have I experienced this delay. Anyone have any ideas for how to get rid of it?

I had v5.02 and yesterday I upgraded to v5.03 the newest version for the nokia 6085 and guess what nokia still hasn't fixed this issue. It doesn't make any sense why there would be a problem because the earlier version 4.3 I think is what it was didn't have this problem at all. when you open the phone it answers right away just like it should. let me know if you find anything out

i have asked nokia about this and they say that it is so that the user can see caller information before the call connects. which doesn't make sense because if they wanted that then wouldn't they select to have it not answer when opened. weird but anyway just thought I would update

you should give Nokia a call.
