Nokia E51 will not boot properly, how can I fix it ?

I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out with my phone.

Last night I installed WalkingHotSpot 2.0 on my Nokia e51 and then when I turned on the app I got an error (3207; no idea what that means, but it wouldn’t work). So then I shut my phone off, and when I tried to turn on the phone again it would not boot.

When I press the power button the following happens:
- Vibrates for 1 second + lcd back light comes on( stays lit for 18 seconds) + White LED turns on (stays lit for 8 seconds)
- Then the phone LCD goes dim for 9 seconds
- LCD flash ones
- goes dim again for 9 seconds
- LCD flash ones
- goes dim for 9 seconds
- LCD + LED flash ones
- shuts off seconds
(Please keep in mind that NOKIA screen never shows up and battery is 100% full)

If I plug the phone to the wall charger, the NOKIA BOOTUP picture comes up and then starts charging.

I tried the “Green talk button + * + 3” combination several times but I got no result. How can I fix my e51? Is it possible to get it into flash mode and flash it with new firmware?

I am facing exactly the same problem and am wondering whether you found a solution.

I noticed that even after removing the battery, as soon as the battery contacts make contact, the indication light comes on (without switching on the phone)

And then the phone shows the Nokia screen and finally the white background with the battery charge indication showing full.

I can switch on the phone but the battery does not charge.

Can anyone help please??

Whoah, is this a problem of e51? My mom's thinking of buying this one but she doesn't have the patience to deal with these kinds of things. Too bad, e51 looks cool.

get your phone flashed....it's the only thing that might solve all your headaches. Get it flashed, I've seen flashing fixed many a software issue in NOKIAS
