New phones and cellphone news this week
Today,we gathered the most important new cellphones and the cell phone news this week, let’s go!
The Nokia 5800i XM has surfaced on the FCC. So far, the smartphone looks exactly the same with the only difference being the lack of Wi-Fi support. Well, this doesn’t seem like an updated version to us; maybe Nokia intends to offer it with a more affordable price tag? (source: FCC via UnwiredView)
The Samsung Galaxy with US 3G support has also passed through the FCC. However, do not reach for your wallet just yet as that version of the Android-based goodness seems to be destined to hit the shelves somewhere in Latin America. (via: EngadgetMobile)
TheCarphone Warehouse is to offer the Sony Ericsson Satio this October. The device is now listed as a “Coming soon” offering with key selling points apparently being the large 3.5-inch screen and 12.1-megapixel camera. (source: TheCarPhoneWarehouse via phoneReviews)
MetroPCS has added some new features to its plans. To begin with, the $40 plan will now have MetroPCS Unlimited Nationwide service for talk, text and MetroWEB, while the “flagship” $45 one will add unlimited e-mail, navigation and social networking apps. Finally, the $30 and $35 local unlimited plans will offer called ID and call waiting. (via: BusinessWire)
