Nokia has just introduced five new models that will soon be available and they are: Nokia 1280, Nokia 1616, Nokia 1800, Nokia 2220 slide and Nokia 2690.
The most affordable handset and the cheapest is that of the Nokia 1280 which will cost €20 (about $30). Features include S30 UI, a 96 x 68 pixels monochrome display,
GSM-only connectivity, flashlight, alarm, calendar, MP3 ringtones, FM radio and a 3.5mm headset jack
The Nokia 1280 is resistant to dust and scratches and has color covers that are changeable. Battery life is up to 8.5 hours talk time and 22 days in stand by mode. It comes with Nokia Life Tools and will be launched in Indonesia in December of this year.
The Nokia 1616 and the Nokia 1800 are similar in design and features 128 x 160 pixels color displays, flashlight, FM radio and support for Nokia Life Tools. Price of the phones will cost €24 and €26
The Nokia 2220 is a slider phone and features: Ovi Mail,
GSM/
GPRS connectivity, a 128 x 160 pixels color display, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, MP3 player,
MMS, FM radio, Nokia Life Tools support, VGA photo camera, and 32MB of internal memory. Price of the slider will cost €45.
Last, there is the Nokia 2690 which is a candybar phone and features most of the same as the Nokia 2220 slider but with
EDGE and MicroSD card support up to 8GB. Price of the candybar phone will be €54.
