sms messages stored in Nokia 5300 ?

Can someone estimate how many sms message can be stored in Nokia 5300 ? We all know it depends on the length of the message but i just curious of it.

Dear sir, i have store 3000 sms in my 5300.maybe you can store more based on the length just like i did in my Dual Card Cell Phones before. You can try it.

each text messages is can hold upto 160 characters per SMS sending and it will be about 1kb per SMS.
so as per 5300 specs :

Memory Phonebook Yes
Call records Yes
Internal 5 MB
Card slot microSD, up to 2GB, hotswap, buy memory

if you are just going to use the internal memory of your phone for just messaging ( for it will be for some of the apps as well like contacts etc will still be using the internal memory)

do the math.

I agree with you on this. It's really hard to tell how many messages you can store, first of, what's the size of the microSD that's in your phone. With Sademon's info you should be able to get an estimate on how many messages your phone can store

Well i guess it can store heaps depending on the phone and memory card space. But I have noticed that the phone plays up when it reaches like a thousand texts in your inbox.
