Music Management

Using AT&T Radio:

Note: when using AT&T Radio, data rates apply and a separate subscription could be required

  1. While viewing the Start screen, tap the "AT&T Radio" tile
  2. Tap "Accept" twice
  3. Select the desired option such as "Local Radio"
  4. Tap the radio station that you wish to listen to

Buying Music via the Nokia Music Store:

Note: In order to be able and make purchases on the Nokia Music Store, you need to have a Nokia account with a payment method set up

  1. While on the Start screen, tap the "Nokia Music" tile
  2. Read the "Welcome to…" note and tap "Continue"
  3. Tap "allow"
  4. Press "OK"
  5. Select "store"
  6. Tap the "Search" icon depicted as a magnifying glass
  7. Type in the name of the desired song or artist, then tap the "arrow" button on the on-screen keyboard
  8. Select the desired option from the result list
  9. Tap the "Play" icon to listen to a sample of the song
  10. If appropriate, tap "buy" to purchase the full version of the song

Searching Music and Purchasing on the Xbox Music Store:

  1. Tap the "Search" button on your device
  2. Press the "Music" icon when a song is playing
  3. Tap "store" to navigate to the "Xbox Music Store". Note: once the song has been identified, the artist and title will be displayed
  4. Tap "close". Alternatively, if you wish to buy the song, tap "store" and select the desired album / song to purchase

Using the Music Player to Play Music:

  1. While viewing the Start screen, tap the "Nokia Music" tile
  2. Tap "my music"
  3. Select the desired artist and album
  4. Tap the desired song:
    • To pause, tap the "Pause" icon
    • To skip forward or backwards in the playlist, tap the "forward"/ "backward" buttons
    • To view the song's lyrics, tap the "Lyrics" icon located at the top-right corner of the display
    • Underneath the "Lyrics" button you will find the "Shuffle" and "Repeat" icons


Camera and Photo / Video Management

Changing the Camera Settings:

  1. From the Start screen, tap the dedicated "camera" button on your device
  2. Drag the "camera" icon up
    • To change the color temperature, drag the "white balance" icon
    • Drag the "focus icon" to change the focus point
    • To change the sensitivity to light, drag the "ISO" icon
    • To adjust exposure, drag the "White balance" icon
    • Drag the "Exposure" icon to adjust the overall brightness
  3. Drag the "Camera" icon back to close the settings menu

Watching Videos on Netflix:

Note: In order to use Netflix, you will need a Netflix account. Set one up before following the steps below.

  1. While viewing the Start screen, tap the "Store" tile
  2. Tap the "Search" icon
  3. Type in "Netflix"
  4. Tap the "arrow" button on the on-screen keyboard
  5. Tap "Netflix" and then press "install'
  6. Select "Netflix"
  7. Tap the "Email" field and enter your email address associated with your Netflix account
  8. Tap the "Password" field and type in your Netflix password
  9. Press "Sign in"
  10. Swipe left and go to "Search"
  11. Type in the name of the movie that you wish to watch, the tap the "Return" button on the on-screen keyboard
  12. Select the movie and tap either "Play" or "Add to instant" to add to queue


Customization Options

Setting a Photo as the Lock screen Background:

  1. On the Start screen, scroll to and tap the "Photos" tile
  2. Tap the desired option, such as "albums"
  3. Select the desired album and tap the photo that you wish to add as a lock screen background
  4. Tap the "menu" icon depicted as three horizontal dots
  5. Select "set as lock screen"
  6. Tap and drag the photo to reposition it, then tap "crop"

Changing the Ringtone:

  1. On the Start screen, swipe left
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Select "ringtones + sounds"
  4. Tap the "Ringtone" field
  5. Press the "Play" icon to listen to ringtones
  6. Tap the desired ringtone to set it as the default one
  7. To adjust the ringtone volume, press the "volume" buttons on your device
  8. To set your device on silent, press the "volume down" button until the counter reaches "00/30"

Setting Your Phone to Vibrate:

  1. While on the Start screen, swipe left
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap "ringtones + sounds"
  4. Tap the "Vibrate" slider to toggle "on" or "off"
