755p exchange server DNS error

I'm using a Treo 755p with sprint wireless carrier. I am having trouble syncing up with my exchange email server. When i input my information and sync i get an error,
AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 4670.
4670 is listed as a DNS error. I am putting my email server in correctly, in fact if i go through the web browser in web exchange it works perfectly. I tried sprint customer service and palm customer service and found no solution. They said that it was either a problem with the sprint network or my email server. I would try and correct my email server but it works with verizon and at&t smart phones.

My email server is https://mail.companyname.com/exchange.
From talking with people i noticed that this might be a little different then most, so that might be a problem.
Also my username/email combo is a bit different then they were expecting.
username is companyname/bryan steimel
my email is b.steimel@companyname.com

These 3 things may not be like most setups but it works on other carriers and through there own web browser.

Does anyone have the same problem or a solution?

Thanks

Are you selecting the checkbox to use secure connection? I noticed that you webserver address was secured with HTTPS so its using port 443. You need to enabled secure connection with your e-mail setup on your 755p.
