How do you DISABLE internet connection with palm treo755p

Could someone please let me know in detail on how to disable the internet on my phone? i don't have any intentions to use the internet/mail program and would like to just do away with it all together........for some reason my 755p wants to try to connect to the internet.......

Try this:
Preferences> Network> Disconnect

If your using Versmail, go into the program. Hit the "menu" hard key. Under options, tap "preferences". Go to "Autosync" and un-select Mail. I use a Treo 700p, so it may not be "exactly" the same, but close.

If you want to disable network access all together, go to Prefs>Network. If you only have one connection listed in the "Service" box, you'll have to make another connection. Hit the <menu> key and select "new". You can leave the connection name untitled if you like. Under "connection" choose Cable/Cradle or IR. You can leave username and password blank. Select "done". Go back into the Network selection and select the connections you just created, i.e. "untitled". Now when any program tries to access the mobile network, it will time-out and not connect to anything.
