    Re: Motorola Droid

Love the phone but have the following issues..

    1. While on a call, the phone randomly vibrates and then goes into mute mode-I have to hang up on caller, or they hang up on me because they can't hear me.
    2. Phone completely shuts off - I have to remove the battery in order to get it to reset.
    3. When ending a call, the phone screen stays black and I have no way of ending the call.

Does anyone else have these issues?

    Droid CAN'T

Forget about resolution, video this, app that, THIS PHONE DOES NOT WORK OVERSEAS! the rest is just detail, buy this and go to Europe or anywhere other than Canada or Mexico and you are toast. How can Motorola be so intelligently challenged. I was happy with Verizon coverage but i need a smartphone and i am switching to AT&T and to IPhone just because i can't use this device. what a sorry bunch of engineers/marketers...

the phone is great, all except the recording of videos. i record myself playing bass and it seems as though every video i have made, they all have a delay and it makes the videos out of sync. i do not care for that at all. does anyone else have this problem?

    Re: Motorola Droid

i got my motorola droid end of January. I called verizon 3 times and have been back to their store locations once. when you talk or deal with verizon you are going to spend at least an hour or more. mostly a big waste.. they always say no one else has this problem.

when making a call, l I have problems with the screen going blank and no easy way to end a call. If you get into a voice mail answered call it may not allow you to hang up without removing the battery. this has happen 3 - 4 times. Sometimes the power button will work...this has happened 4 or more times.

I've never had a phone that wants to go blank during a phone call and then when you try to wake it up it will not wake up. Verizon says...hold the power button down until it wakes up, then use you finger to swipe the unlock button. IS THIS STUPID OR WHAT? then you still don't end up back at the phone dialer so you can hit the hangup button.

who designed this phone? NOTE, this is not and easy phone to use with one hand!!

this phone is not ready for prime time.

also, google maps has yet to work properly. streets with wrong names? It has never got my location correct.

the touch buttons at bottom of the phone do not respond at times.????

the take picture button is on bottom right edge. exactly where your hand holds it. huh?

and finally, I sent out an email with a picture attachment. it was recorded as sent over 1,500 times. is this possible?

this is the worst phone i've ever had. I lot of features but too many problems.

    Re: Motorola Droid

I really like the Droid. I hesitated to switch from the BlackBerry to the iPhone, as I had had terrible coverage problems with AT&T, and I travel a LOT. Verizon has better coverage, for me and the areas I travel.
Otherwise, I have only a few minor comments:

    1. You can't use 3G and the phone at the same time. I know this is a network problem and not easily changed. I'm just sayin'...

    2. I don't use/like the slideout keyboard. I prefer to use the onscreen. I find the keyboard too small and awkward to use. I know the onscreen is smaller, but it's easier to use.

    3. The video gallery is not friendly to use. I find it to be clumsy and poorly designed.

I would certainly recommend the Droid, or any Android phone, to my friends.

    Re: Motorola Droid

I purchased my phone 3 months ago. I have sent in my rebate twice and both times it has been refused for some reason or another. I even went to the dealer and had tem put the paper work together the second time. It's really frustrating. Also, I keep losing calls, constantly and my ring tones keep changing on me. I was told that I didn't purchase the phone from a Verizon headquarters, but a satellite store!? What's the difference, it's still a Verizon, and they should stand behind their product.
