I bought an unlocked Nokia 9500 that I would like to use on cingular
    after signing up.
Where can I find the step-by-step instructions for configuring its
parameters (e.g. data server IDs and names and numbers) so that it
functions as well as if I had bought it from cingular if I were to sign
    up for service?
Last time I took it to one of the cingular stores, the person at the
counter was inept and screwed things up, so I'd rather do it myself.
Besides, cingular does not sell 9500 but sells the almost identical
    9300.

    Thank you.

One important difference--so far as I know, the 9500 only exists in the
European version. Since it's a triband, that means you can only use one
of the two frequencies that Cingular uses in the U.S.

Unless I'm behind and Nokia finally brought out a U.S. version.

The U.S. version is 800/1800/1900. Not much use in Europe or Asia, but
    fine for the U.S.
