    Hello All,

    I have a Cingular/AT&T RAZR (basic RAZR--black--purchased in Nov 2006) that
I use with MPT (up to date) and can transfer ringtones, pix, contacts, etc.
to my wife's phone (identical phone) via Bluetooth.

My co-worker has a Verizon RAZR (pink--most likely older than mine).

I tried to Bluetooth a ringtone to her phone and that wouldn't work. The
error message I got was something like "Service not Supported" (don't
    remember for sure).

When I hooked her phone up to my computer to use w/ MPT, the computer saw it
as a completely different device and installed a different driver for it.
Also, when I opened MPT, the "skin" for her phone was even different from
mine (MPT reconized her phone automatically, I had to pick my phone from a
list--just picked "V3" but there were several options for V3's, RAZR's, RAZR
V3's, etc.). With my skin in MPT, I have 6 "app's" on the right side to
choose from: Sync, Phonebook, Calendar, Text message, Multimedia Studio,
and Internet Connection. With her phone, there are only 3 of these "app's".
I don't remember which ones, but I know Multimedia Studio was NOT one of
    them.

I made a couple of ringtones for her with MPT and I'm trying to figure out
how to transfer them to her phone w/o incurring charges for MMS messages
(well, I sent one via MMS msg--the other one was too big--and I want to
avoid MMS msgs in the future)

WTF?!?! What is the deal here? Why can't I Bluetooth to her phone or use
MPT's Multimedia/File Transfer studio with her phone? Is there any way to
get either of these 2 ways to work so I don't have to MMS msg the ringtones
to her? (how would I find out exactly what version of RAZR's her and I
    have?)

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

    Conan Kelly

Verizon routinely cripples the Bluetooth functionality of their phones
so that it's only good for headsets...and so that they can do
open-wallet surgery on you when you want to transfer wallpaper and
    ringtones.

You need to modify the SEEM to enable these features as Verizon
    disables them, instructions here:

    http://www.howardforums.com and here:
    http://mark.cdmaforums.com/

Not difficult at all to do, I did it so anyone can! ;-)

    XS11E,

Thank you for your help. I've done some SEEM editing on my own phone, but
it has been a while. I'll have to go through the tutorials to re-learn how
to set up her phone and edit seems.

Thanks again for all of your help,

    Conan Kelly

PS, sorry for the double post. You are right, I am using OE. Plus, I was
having problems with my computer last night. I wrote half this post once,
then OE locked up on me--had to go kill the process. You would think that I
would have learned the first time and written it in notepad first, but
nooooooooo......after completely writing it the second time, OE siezed up
again..............!#$^&**(^%#!!!!!!!! I did not want to write this thing
for a third time. Luckily the message was still showing on the screen even
though OE was locked up, so I did a print screen, pasted into MS Paint,
saved it, printed it to MS Office's equivelent of Acrobat Distiller and then
did OCR recognition on it to recover the text.......WHEW!!!!! Thank god
    that it worked.
