Posting for a friend: there is a software that may be demanded by many
industries industries (telecom, mobile, VoIP,

In two words what it is all about and why I would like to ask you to
cooperate on promoting it.

Some years ago (something like 2005 if I heard it right) Samsung was
desperately searching for a possibility to quickly test their voice
codecs
quality on the fly. The so-called Cisco MOS estimations (you can read
about
them on the page) are quite expensive and make no sense during codec
development process, however, developers do need to get some
understanding
of the codec quality. This task is demanded by phone manufacturers
(Nokia,
Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc for sure), telecom switch producers (Nokia,
Siemens, Alcatel...), Voice over IP software and hardware developers
(Skype and similar). Etc etc...

The company URL refers to is searching for partners to promote and
sell this
software product both as a desktop application as well as a DLL or
part of
other systems.

*1. Is the quality checker compatible with all kinds of codec? Is
there any
test report that I can get? Will it also work for GSM, CDMA, VoIP and

Yes, one can test ANY codec:

2. *There has been a great deal of R&D in this area over the last 15
years,
and there are established ITU-T standards that cover most of these
requirements. There are many benefits in using a standardised method
of
quality assessment: the performance of the method is well-understood,
they
have been developed through collaborative projects involving enormous
amounts of data, and so offer the greatest accuracy.

These standardised models are also available as easy-to-use
applications and
DLLs.

Answer2: *ITU standards cover simulation on a test bed/harness and
thus
although reduce costs are still relying on MOS.

Psytechnics Experience Manager is the so-called QoE and relies on real-
time
user input, and it is still based on MOS including operational
parameters.

The product I posted about is different and covers a specific area,
BEFORE
the
product is integrated and BEFORE you get to the user experience.

I believe it perfectly suits those who develop vocoders, or who are
willing
to choose or compare different codecs, or even audio files. I believe
one
can create a product similar to Experience Manager using the algoriths
of
the tool in question. *
