android os on the iphone

at one time there was discussion of this. i know the iphone dev team was successful in loading the linux kernel into the iphone, allowing it to boot linux with (very) limited capabilities. that put adroid os running on an iphone that much closer to a possibility. however since then i have heard nothing about new developements on the topic. i did a google search and everything that pops up is OLD. anyone heard anything about this getting any closer to being a reality? the dev-team is pretty amazing in the things they have done with the iphone and for the iphone modding community, so it really wouldn't be like them to just "give up". even if they did, they would have posted somewhere that it isn't possible at this time. just wondering if anyone has seen anything about this recently.

I have been on the look-out as well and have not seen a thing. It's likely that Apple's lawyers have sought out and removed all such content from the web (as android running on an iPhone is their worst nightmare). Keep searching, if it's out there, it is hidden...
