What smartphone gets the best signal and holds it?

I have had att for 8 years now and it works wonderful in the south. I now work in north PA and I have a HTC Inspire and its time for an upgrade. I would like to know what phone gets the best reception.

while not all phones are created equal, it often times has more to do with the service in your area than the phone's antenna. I'm assuming you go a phone by now though. What did you get?
