My wife and I both have an iphone 4s and we are tired of paying a bill of nearly $150. When our 2 year commitment is up, I want to either negotiate a better rate with ATT or go to another carrier.
It seems like a few months ago I heard on the radio that I have to have ATT's permission to unlock my phone. Is this true and is ATT likely to grant the permission?
I did a search on unlock and got a boatload of hits, all about companies wanting to sell me a code to unlock. There were so many hits, it made it impossible to find any threads discussing this issue.
Is it necessary to to buy a code to unlock the iphone 4s?

Re: AT&T Unlock Policy
Wow, this is sad. Except for a post selling something, there's no new posts in the forum since July 5? Better look for a better forum, I guess.
